The Tigers chased down a 124-run target with ease in just 16.5 overs to earn a six-wicket victory. The star of the show for the Tigers was their skipper Mehidy Hasan Miraz who first picked up a wicket and then scored an unbeaten 74 to lead his team into the play-offs.
Earlier, Dhaka Capitals captain Thisara Perera had won the toss and opted to bat first at the Sher e Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka.
